Consultancy Cundall has appointed Dr Chris Field to lead their new Australian acoustics department.
Dr Field is a top Australian acoustics consultants who has worked on a wide range of projects in Australia and across the globe, and who won the Australian Acoustical Society 2004 Excellence in Acoustics Award and the 2004 Invention of the Year on the ABC’s New Inventors TV programme for his innovative passive noise control ventilator.
Andrew Parkin, Cundall’s global head of acoustics, said Dr Field’s appointment was an important addition to the company, significantly enhancing global reach.
“Cundall has been delivering acoustics since 2010; it is an exciting time to expand into the Australian market and [the new department and Dr Field’s appointment] was the logical next step in our expansion,” Mr Parkin said.
Dr Field said the job was an opportunity he could not pass up.
“I am genuinely excited to join [Cundall’s] Australian team and start working alongside their engineers. Andrew and his acoustic team have a great reputation for adding value in acoustic design. I am looking forward to working with them, sharing ideas and expanding this excellent reputation into Australia.”
