BVN has opened an office in New York to handle the increase in projects in Canada and the US.

“Australian architects and designers are recognised as leaders in workplace across the world and it is this innovation, energy and creativity that BVN will take to New York,” BVN national director James Grose said.

The NY studio, which opened on 1 September, is being led by BVN principal and Sydney studio director Bill Dowzer, who has 21 years’ experience with the company. Mr Dowzer recently completed workplaces for law firms Herbert Smith Freehills and Minter Ellison, and been invited to address symposia in London about the transformation of workplace.

“Understanding the culture of new work practices is central to BVN’s engagement with clients and we will ‘practise what we preach’ across North America establishing an agile, young and mobile presence based in the emerging co-working culture, which is enabling start-up and emerging businesses to redefine conventional business practices,” Mr Grose said.
