BRIEF – 5 April 2010 – AquaLink SA has won the Stage One design and development phase of the North-South Interconnection System Project in South Australia.
The $403 million NSISP will link Adelaide’s northern and southern water supply networks, ensuring water from the Adelaide desalination plant can be used throughout the metropolitan area when the plant is fully commissioned in 2012.
AquaLink SA, a joint venture among Parsons Brinckerhoff MWH and Tonkin Consulting, will analyse north-south connection options, develop concept designs, work to ensure regulatory and environmental approvals as well as plan for the early stages of construction.
PB’s General Manager – Water and AquaLink SA Framework Relationship Management Group Member Tom Mosquera said the JV team was looking forward to playing a major role in the preliminary phase of the project.
“The JV team will apply local knowledge plus global and interstate experience and expertise to this important project.”
