The Property Council of Australia’s Western Australian division has appointed Emma Thunder as its new deputy executive director.
Ms Thunder was previously strategic planning and communications adviser for the PCA, and also runs planning consultancy EmPlan. Before working for the PCA she was manager and independent planning adviser at the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, and principal policy adviser to former Liberal planning minister Donna Faragher.
Property Council WA executive director Lino Iacomella said Ms Thunder was a fantastic addition to the company.
“Emma is a qualified planner and has a very strong background in advocacy, policy development and stakeholder engagement,” he said.
“Emma comes to the Property Council at a time when there is significant change happening in WA’s planning system and her skills will be enormously helpful in advocating the Property Council’s mission of prosperity, jobs and strong communities.”
