The Green Building Council of Australia has partnered with the newly launched Australian Supply Chain Sustainability School to help boost industry skills.

The online school, launched last month, is designed to help the construction sector expand sustainability knowledge across the entire supply chain.

The move adds GBCA to a list of founding partners that include DownerTenix, Dulux Group, Infrastructure Sustainability Council Australia, John Holland, Laing O’Rourke, McConnell Dowell, Mirvac, Stockland, Net Balance Foundation and Action Sustainability.

The GBCA’s chief operating officer Robin Mellon said accelerating the update of sustainable building practices required an industry-wide approach.

“The construction industry’s greatest strength lies in its commitment to collaboration. Partnership is the new leadership, and our nation’s sustainable future rests on the ability of everyone in the industry to advance their knowledge and skills,” he said.
