Brief – 27 October 2010 – CB Richard Ellis Group has been ranked 30th out of 500 US companies in the 2010 Green Rankings compiled by US magazine Newsweek.

Measuring the environmental performance of the 500 largest US-based publicly traded companies, the Green Rankings are based on each company’s actual resource use and emission levels, its environmental policies and strategies, and its reputation among its peers.

In 2007 CB Richard Ellis became the first commercial real estate services company to announce a commitment to become carbon neutral in its own operations, the company said in a media statement. The company has also been named Partner of the Year by the US Environmental Protection Agency and was awarded the Leadership Award for Organizational Excellence by the US Green Building Council.
