Brief: 9 July 2010 โ€“ Paddington Reservoir Gardens has continued to notch up major awards, the latest an international architecture award from the The Chicago Athenaeum and The Urban Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Designed by Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architectโ€™s and JMD Design the gardens now have a place as a one of the โ€œworldโ€™s most significant new architecture projects,โ€ a media release from the City of Sydney which was client for the project.

โ€œThe magical restoration of the Paddington Reservoir Gardens provides new open space, revives a State Heritage listed site and has created an exciting cultural venue for the local community to enjoy,โ€  Lord Mayor Clover Moore said.

โ€œThe park on the reservoir roof has been completely rebuilt and a stunning new sunken garden has been established in the reservoirโ€™s western chamber.โ€
