Dr Lucy Burgmann

Sustainability job salaries are fairly even across the various states and territories, according to a report by Talent Nation.

The Fifth Estate covered this report last month, pointing to the high salaries of women compared to men in sustainability roles. What wasn’t touched on was how these salaries differ according to jurisdiction.

Although the differences in salary according to location aren’t huge, Queensland and Western Australia paid the highest salaries in the environment category due to the number of high paying jobs in the mining and meals sectors.

In the sustainability category, New South Wales came out on top followed by Victoria, largely due to the density of generous senior roles located in head offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
