Energy management software provider Envizi has in the past year snagged heavyweights from Energetics, Siemens and Bosch as part of an ambitious new strategy to deepen specialist energy management expertise and spur company growth.

David Martenson has come across from consultancy Energetics where he was general manager, data solutions to become Envizi executive manager, solutions and partners. Mr Martenson has more than 20 years’ experience in the software industry.

Lynden Clark, formerly of Siemens, has become business manager, building energy solutions. Mr Clark has more than 15 years’ experience working across the commercial, health, university and infrastructure sectors, and has a wealth of domain knowledge and expertise in the areas of smart buildings, building automation, building data analytics and energy management.

Chris King, former manager of Bosch’s Energy and Building Solutions business, is the new business development manager for Envizi. Mr King, who recently received a Future Leader award from the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Heating, was also senior mechanical and ESD engineer with GHD for six years.

“When we rebranded from CarbonSystems to Envizi in late 2013 we signalled our intention to return to the company’s roots in energy management,” a company statement said. “Our new positioning reflects our investment in product development and our commitment to delivering the tools our clients and partners need.”
