Knight Frank has appointed the Green Building Council of Australia’s Davina Knox as sustainable development strategist, town planning, a newly formed position for the property consultancy.

Ms Knox was formerly GBCA manager, sustainable communities, where she managed and oversaw the Green Star – Communities rating tool. Specialising in both the residential and commercial sectors, she has also been a senior planner for Barton Willmore, the UK’s leading and largest independent planning and design consultancy; and Savills L&P. She was also a development assessment officer for Hart District Council in England.

Mark Grayson, Knight Frank’s director, town planning, Australia, said he was pleased to welcome Ms Knox to the growing team.

“Davina is a highly-qualified and experienced champion for sustainable urban planning, with a background of over a decade working in the built environment industry,” he said.

“She will bring a wealth of experience in sustainable urban planning to complement the team’s existing skills, and will be responsible for establishing, implementing and managing the initiatives informing the team’s long-term sustainability and environmental, social and governance policies.

“Davina will bring a huge amount of additional value for our clients, advising on the outcomes that they seek through smart urban planning, management and governance.”
