- $100,072 p.a plus superannuation

The City of Sydney is accelerating its leadership and proven delivery of environmental action for Sydney’s residential and business communities. Exciting opportunities are now available to join the Sustainability Programs team to deliver Sydney 2030 and our new Environmental strategy and Sector based plans (attached in City’s recruitment system).
The Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing a building tune-up program in relation to energy, water and waste to business customers in key sectors to improve environmental performance. You may also deliver other programs and services over time as our service delivery accelerates.
Focusing on smaller hotels, backpackers and serviced apartments in the accommodation and entertainment sector as well as privately owned mid-tier commercial office buildings, your initial objectives in this role will, in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, be to:
- Design and develop the proposition and service that the City will offer including consideration of the existing Smart Green Business program
- Launch the new/evolved service
- Commence the delivery of the service and engagement with the sector
As the ideal candidate you will have a passion for the environment and will be both collaborative and innovative in your approach to sustainability project design and delivery. You will have exceptional project management and engagement skills and have significant experience in delivering environmental outcomes within the built environment.
You will also have experience in facilitating retrofits and upgrades and have a good understanding of the opportunities and barriers to improving environmental performance in buildings.
