Transitions Film Festival

The Transitions Film Festival returns in February with a collection of documentaries featuring inspirational stories and change-makers who are working to solve society’s greatest challenges and helping build a better future.

Covering themes such as environmental activism, social and economic justice, this year’s festival features a line-up of films about climate change, biodiversity, plastics, economics and creative innovation.

Transitions Film Festival runs February 18th to March 13 with an online, on-demand program of 20 sessions available nationally as well as a series of free screenings in the Melbourne CBD.

What are the highlights?

The range of documentaries include 70/30 which follows the Dutch people’s quest to reduce carbon emissions, The Ants and The Grasshopper follows a Malawian farmer and environmentalist campaigning for climate action in USA, and First We Eat follows a filmmaker and her family for one year as they try to live only off food that can be grown, gathered or hunted locally.
