12 June 2013 — Total Environment Centre is launching a new interactive educational resource built around its documentary, Waste Not.
The launch is at Sydney Girls High on its Marine and Green environment day on 14 June.
Waste Not writer Ruth Hessey said sustainability was one of three cross-curricular priorities in the new Australian curriculum for 2014
Key note speakers will discuss climate change and sustainable living with particular emphasis on recycling as it relates to marine conservation. They include University of Technology Sydney’s David Booth, University of New South Wales’ Iain Suthers and filmmaker Michelle Stone from Plastic Soup.
Other attendees include City of Sydney councillor John Mant, Clean Up Australia chairman Ian Kiernan, Take 3’s Tim Silverwood and Total Environment Centre chief executive officer Jeff Angel.
