30 May 2013 — McGregor Coxall has been busy appointing new staff and promoting others.

Michael Cowdy has been appointed associate urban designer due to his success as the urban design practice leader which saw his team winning multiple projects and awards last year including the Planning Institute of Australia’s National Award for Urban Design for Parramatta River Urban Design Strategy.

Meanwhile, Jack Qian has been appointed to the position of associate after becoming an integral part of the team since joining in 2007 as a multidisciplinary designer. As part of his role as business development manager (China), he will also be focusing on expanding McGregor Coxall’s reach in the Asia Pacific region.

Scott Adams joined last year after completing the Australia Government’s Endeavour Executive Fellowship 2012. He is a passionate urbanist who has contributed to award-winning regeneration and urban design projects in the UK over the past 10 years.

Finally, Nicola Balch recently joined McGregor Coxall while completing two undergraduate degrees in Architecture and Media, Communications at the University of Technology, Sydney. Ms Balch is a Dean’s List student who advocates a highly contextual investigative approach to design which integrates social, environmental, economic and spatial responses across all scales of the built environment.
