McGregor Coxall's George Panos, Lee Stone and Charter Hall's Peter James

McGregor Coxall has appointed Lee Stone as its new chief executive, replacing George Panos, who has stepped down to focus on other ventures.

Stone had spent almost five years as the firm’s chief operations officer and chief finance officer after time spent at as the CFO and managing director of recruitment firm Future People among other similar roles such as Theodore Bruce Auctioneers and Valuers, First East Auction Holdings, and the BBC.

Meanwhile, Panos will remain on the board for the firm while pursuing his other board works on Spinal Cord Injuries Australia and Advanced Paediatric Life Support. Panos led the firm through a number of big projects, such as Sydney Modern, Paramatta Pool, Parramatta Powerhouse Museum, and Harkness Cemetery.

After almost nine years at Charter Hall, senior asset manager Peter James has stepped down.

James had been a senior asset manager for the property investment company since 2015 and briefly became a regional portfolio manager in Victoria before returning to his original role. 
Prior to that, he had been ISPT’s general manager of commercial services and property investment manager for eight years. He has also spent more than 14 years at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and almost 12 years at the Transport Accident Commission/
James has slated a “new chapter” for himself, which will be announced shortly.
