Six new staff appointments have been made by the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning in a move designed to boost research capabilities and industry networks.
Dr Mathew Aitchison, Dr Matthew Mindrup, Catherine Lassen, Dr Rizal Muslimin, Dr Jennifer Kent and Dr Adrienne Keane have all been appointed in the past two months.
“The global challenges of urbanisation and sustainability require the faculty to significantly increase its capacity and depth of expertise in education and research,” faculty dean Professor John Redmond said.
“The experience and capability of these new faculty members will help give our graduates the skills to compete and make a difference in their work locally and abroad. Equally important, they will increase the faculty’s capacity to develop innovative research, which has a real impact on making environments that enhance people’s lives.”
