Mark Skelsey

15 January 2013 – Mark Skelsey left his role as media manager with the NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure after joining the team in 2005. He will start a new role in February as project manager at North Sydney-based strategic engagement and communications firm KJA (Kathy Jones and Associates), which also employs former ABC Radio announcer Deborah Cameron.

Mr Skelsey is expected to work for public and private sector clients on a range of issues, including planning and development initiatives.

His background includes 17 years as a journalist at the Daily Telegraph, mainly focused on urban affairs and state politics.

KJA engages in community consultation and public affairs management around development issues. Ms Cameron‘s Linked In profile for instance, credits her with managing “high-impact projects in the areas of urban renewal, planning and energy, including renewables and coal seam gas” as well as with local and state government, “developing and implementing strategies for Marrickville, Randwick and Willoughby Councils, as well as AGL and the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority”.
