Kulja Coulston

Journalist and broadcaster Kulja Coulston has been appointed managing editor of quarterly magazine Sanctuary, published by the Alternative Technology Association.

Ms Coulston is a former ReNew editor and an advocate for independent media and consumer issues. She is also a long-time producer and broadcaster, and has for the past seven years presented a weekly current affairs program on Triple R FM in Melbourne that incorporates extensive coverage of social enterprises, city planning and infrastructure issues.

โ€œItโ€™s a significant time to be focused on the built environment, especially as we deal with issues of affordability and density,โ€ she said. โ€œSanctuary is a magazine filled with beautiful sustainable homes, but itโ€™s also rich with information and stories about how we can build better cities and neighbourhoods.

โ€œItโ€™s a rare privilege to work with an independent, member-based organisation. In an era where itโ€™s hard to pick an advertisement from an article in many magazines, the ATA is committed to quality journalism and independent product reviews. Itโ€™s the real deal.โ€
