Environmental technology company Envirosuite Limited has announced the appointment of two new independent non-executive directors in Stuart Bland and Tim Ebbeck, effective 1 March 2022. 

Envirosuite sells software service products that are used across noise monitoring for aviation, monitoring inefficiencies in waste management in salinisation and water treatment plants, and picking up inefficiencies of waste management in mining operations. 

Troy Daly started work as a senior consultant at Efficient Living, an ecologically sustainable development (ESD) consultancy. Daly will be working on the environmental sustainability challenges and opportunities that go hand in hand with large development projects. 

Efficient Living offers software designing, modelling, and delivering energy efficient and low carbon outcomes in the residential and commercial property space. It is an applied consultancy working with architects, builders and developers to ensure buildings are built to design and compliance. 

“I used to work in sustainability and some of the bigger urban renewable projects and green renewable projects, but I left to focus on urban projects,” Mr Daly told The Fifth Estate

“But life’s too short to do that! So, I’m very keen to get back on the applied side of sustainable development. It’s great to be part of the team as we push forward to innovative and commercially feasible zero carbon solutions for property projects and precincts.”

After 11 years at built environment consultancy Williams Sale Partnership (WSP), most recently director of sustainability and environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) advisory, Tim Parker began a new chapter joining Westpac Institutional Bank as director of ESG within its corporate and institutional banking division. 

Independent property, development and sustainability consultancy Napier & Blakeley have welcomed back Rachel Brook to the company, as a quantity surveyor to advise clients in Queensland. Brook previously worked at the company from 2014 to 2018 before working as an estimator at Hutchinson Builders and then a property manager at Edgewater Realty

Meanwhile Victoria Black took on a new role leading clients, markets and engagement at consulting and engineering firm Systra

International design practice Hassell has announced a whirlwind of new leaders, mostly promoted from within the firm:

Caroline Diesner is now Australian regional leader. She is a principal architect and board director of Hassell with over 20 years of experience working across Asia and Australia. Natalie Busch is now managing principal of the firm’s Perth studio. Peter Morley is managing principal, Hong Kong studio. Richard Mullane is managing principal, Melbourne. He has taken over the role from Ingrid Bakker, now commercial and workplace sector leader working alongside Domino Risch. Adam Davies and Julian Gitsham are the new sector leaders for education and science. Jeremy Schluter joins Peter Lee as joint sector leader for residential. Also, Kate Funnell has moved over from Grimshaw to Hassell as their marketing and communications adviser for the Sydney studio.
