Mitsubishi Electric Australia has appointed Jeremy Needham as managing director, effective from 16 June.
Mr Needham, who has been with the organisation for 27 years, replaces Takeshi Shihonmatsu, who will take on a new role in Tokyo.
“The strong results in the last financial year from both Mitsubishi Electric Australia and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (Japan) mean that we are exceptionally well positioned to face the challenges and changes required to compete and grow across all the markets in which we operate,” Mr Needham said.
Mr Needham has a mechanical engineering background and brings experience from various engineering and management roles within Mitsubishi Electric Australia.
