City of Perth councillor, Curtin University research fellow and co-founder of blockchain company Power Ledger Jemma Green has been appointed chair of Climate-KIC Australia, a non-profit organisation that helps businesses commercialise innovative sustainability solutions.
Dr Green is a sustainability professional with a background in finance and risk advisory, following 11 years working in investment banking in London with JP Morgan.
She is also on the board of WA’s Water Corporation, on the advisory board of 1 Million Women and a board member of Heritage Perth.
“We are delighted to have someone of Jemma’s calibre join Climate-KIC Australia and provide leadership to our board,” Climate-KIC Australia chief executive Chris Lee said.
“As chair, she will be the catalyst to link ideas, commercial know-how and investment capital. I am very excited to begin working with her to bring climate change innovation to market.”
Ms Green said she was thrilled to be involved with Climate-KIC.
“I look forward to working towards building cross-sector partnerships around low-carbon innovation to deliver competitive outcomes to the Australian economy,” she said.
