14 May 2014 — Managing director Asia Pacific Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Kaye Herald has decided to move from her position after nine years.

RICS is now on the search to replace Ms Herald, though have meanwhile appointed Peter Nolan as director of RICS Oceania.

Mr Nolan joins RICS following a role as director building and construction at TAFE SA, where he led the construction of the $120million Sustainable Industries Education Centre.

“Peter’s appointment will further help to enhance our ability to advance and enforce standards in land, property and the built environment and to promote the profession across the Oceania region,” Ms Herald said.

“While much has been achieved so far in the development of the Oceania Region, I’m confident that Peter will take us on the next stage of this journey in Australia and New Zealand.”

Mr Nolan commenced with RICS on 12 May. He will be based in Sydney and lead teams in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
