22 January 2014 – Energy and carbon management consultancy Pangolin Associates will make a pitch for airport carbon accreditation services in the Asia Pacific region with the appointment of Sam Phua who has joined the team in the Brisbane office.
Dr Phua is a registered greenhouse and energy auditor who is one of only a few Australian-based professionals with experience in the airport Carbon Accreditation program.
His appointment will enable Pangolin to offer the ACA verification service in addition to services for mandatory and voluntary schemes such as the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act, Energy Efficiency Opportunities, the Carbon Disclosure Project, the National Carbon Offset Standard and the Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI).
Dr Phua is the author of numerous scientific papers on climate change and holds a PhD in biochemical engineering majoring in mathematical modelling of chemical contaminants. A registered chartered chemical engineer, his professional experience includes research and leadership in lifecycle assessments, carbon management and carbon origination establishment projects such as CFI.
