6 March 2014 โ€” Stuart Fowler has been promoted from Australian regional director to chief operating officer of engineering consultancy Norman Disney & Young, while Allen Williamson has been appointed director-in-charge of the London office.

Mr Fowler will be responsible for the line management of UK and NZ regional directors and all Australian office managers, in a move designed to bolster NDYโ€™s global strategic plan. Mr Fowler will also be responsible for project delivery and issues relating to office administration, finances and staffing.

โ€œThe newly created position of COO will build on my past two years as Australian regional director,โ€ Mr Fowler said. โ€œI am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities of this new position.โ€

Mr Fowler has worked with NDY since joining as a graduate in 1988.

Allen Williamson

On the other side of the world, Allen Williamson has been promoted to director-in-charge of NDYโ€™s London office.

Mr Williamson, a mechanical engineer, has been with NDY for over 13 years, and has worked as a director for nine years.

โ€œAllen has extensive consulting engineering experience in the UK construction industry and has played a leading role in many technically demanding and high profile projects, so his appointment to lead our UK based operations was a logical step,โ€ said NDY chief executive Ian Hopkins.

Mr Williamson said the UK market was now improving, and he was excited about the timely move into the role.

โ€œNDYโ€™s involvement in a number of high profile projects such as the Angel Building, the Stratford City Shopping Centre and the recently opened Stonehenge Visitors Centre has brought our capabilities to the fore with a number of potential clients so there are certainly exciting opportunities ahead,โ€ he said. Allen.

Allen replaces Stas Brzeski who was NDY London director-in-charge for 13 years.
