14 August 2013 — Waste Converters Recycling has been awarded $466,000 through the Victorian Government’s Driving Investment for New Recycling fund to expand its Dandenong South recycling facility.

The funding will double recycling capacity from 50,000 tonnes to 100,000 tonnes per annum and will create 15 new jobs.

Ward Petherbridge, director of Waste Converters, said his family had been running its waste business at the site for over 30 years.

The money will be used to build a 2250 square metre building and a 5000 square metre concrete hardstand.
