6 March 2013 — A Sustainable Home Registry is being put together by Australian Living.
Managing director Cameron Rosen said the sustainable home industry was getting stronger each year and was now at a point where it could be tracked and monitored for future growth.
Homes need to be rated 7+ stars (thermal efficiency), constructed with sustainable building materials and using energy and water savings.
Marketing manager Anthony Leiberman said for the Sustainable Home Registry to be successful architects, building designers, project home builders and developers needed “to fill out a simple form each time they complete a sustainable home project”.
Master Builders Association of NSW Green Living program manager Grant Daly said the registry would allow clients to quickly identify “green builders and associated operatives in the sustainability space”.
