24 September 2013 — Environmental firm SLR Consulting has appointed Nicole Armit as the company’s Newcastle office manager.
The company has also moved locations in Newcastle to service the expansion of its regional services since the merger-acquisition of GSS Environmental in October 2012. SLR’s new office is located in New Lambton, just west of the Newcastle CBD.
Ms Armit has more than 12 years’ experience working on environmental and engineering projects in the industrial, private, government and mining sectors.
Managing director Peter Georgiou said the new office amalgamated two previous offices.
“We are expecting great synergies to emerge now that our environmental management and planning teams are co-located with our specialist noise and vibration, air quality, ecology, hazmat, contaminated land, hydrology, occupational hygiene, soil science, civil engineering and waste management teams,” he said.
There are now almost 40 consultants based in Newcastle.
