18 September 2013 — Renewal SA is looking for a sustainability manager for its Tonsley redevelopment project, which will see the region transformed into a collaborative and high-value industry, education and residential precinct.
Renewal SA works closely with local communities, government agencies, councils, industry and not-for-profit organisations to ensure the coordinated and well planned delivery of quality and affordable urban renewal projects.
Based on advice from the Premier’s Climate Change Council, the state government has agreed that its policies for climate smart and sustainable development outcomes could be strengthened by improved policy implementation and learning from the hurdles faced during development projects.
As a result, a newly created role has emerged within the Tonsley redevelopment project to support the project in achieving its Green Star Community Rating and to assist in identifying and providing solutions to barriers to sustainable development.
The hands-on role will suit a versatile, credible and confident professional ideally with exposure to and experience in a range of sustainability and policy related matters.
