16 April 2013 โ BuildingIQ, a building energy management software company, has four new staff.
Greg Brewer is the new vice president of sales, Adam Benson is vice president of engineering, Cindy Anderson is senior director of marketing and Chris Tomasini is director of sales.
BuildingIQ chief executive officer Michael Zimmerman said the company was โgrowing exponentially along with the expanding BMS marketโ.
Mr Brewer brings more than 20 yearsโ experience in increasing market share and generating double-digit growth in start-ups and established organisations. His expertise also includes mergers and acquisitions, having led the sale of Philips Global Controls to Philips Lighting and Controls as well as the acquisition of Cooper Industries by Eaton Global. He has also worked with General Electric, Rockwell Automation, Siemens Energy and Automation, and Philips Global Controls.
Mr Benson has an extensive background in developing and commercialising technology from embedded systems to cloud based services. He will be responsible for research and development and IT, creating BuildingIQโs building management optimisation technology.
Previous positions were with Oracle, TowersWatson and OpenTV.
Ms Anderson has more than 15 yearsโ experience in the technology and building management systems space, including extensive work with Honeywell, Global Energy Partners (EnerNOC), EPRI and Clean Urban Energy. Her expertise includes driving major marketing campaigns and product launches in the technology space.
Mr Tomasini has more than 20 yearsโ energy efficiency experience and will concentrate on the eastern US. He had worked at Siemens and FirstFuel Software.
BuildingIQ recently announced $9 million in venture funding from tier one industry leaders Aster Capital (backed by Schneider Electric, Alstom and Solvay), the Venture Capital unit of Siemens Financial Services (SFS VC) and Paladin Capital.
