13 March 2013 — The Nature Conservation Trust of New South Wales is looking for a Border Ranges Alliance communications and fundraising coordinator in Lismore. The four-day a week position, to 30 June 2013 initially, is casual with a package depending on experience. The coordinator will work with the Border Ranges Alliance, a partnership of the Great Eastern Ranges Initiative and be responsible for facilitating the Alliance and overseeing its activities in the Border Ranges region to enhance biodiversity conservation and connectivity of native vegetation. Selection criteria includes skills and experience in communications, fundraising and coordination, as well as natural resource management. Meanwhile, the City of Maribyrnong wants a sustainability officer. The position is three days a week, permanent part-time, with a salary of between $70,424 and $76,302 as well as 9 per cent superannuation. The position will focus primarily on sustainability community education and policy with the initial aim to achieve council priorities in relation to waste minimisation through implementing community education programs to minimise waste, increase recycling and reduce contamination.
