17 April 2013 — Nominations are open for the NSW Government’s 14th annual Green Globe Awards, celebrating environmental excellence and innovation in NSW.

NSW Environment Minister Robyn Parker said for the past 14 years, the awards had been an outstanding platform for organisations to showcase new technologies, build their corporate reputation and highlight their leadership in the field of sustainability.

Categories include:

  • Water, Waste and Energy Awards – Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency and Waste and Recycling.
  •  Excellence in Sustainability Awards – Business, Small Business, Public Sector, Built Environment, Local Government and Community(not-for-profit organisations).
  •  Excellence in Leadership and Innovation – Sustainability Champion, Climate Change Leadership and Environmental Innovation.
  •  Judging panel categories (to be decided by the judging panel) – Premier’s Award for Environmental Excellence, Regional Sustainability (most outstanding entry outside greater metropolitan Sydney) and 10-Year Sustainability Achievement.  

Nominations are open until 18 June 2013. The awards will be judged by a panel of independent experts and presented at a reception at NSW Parliament House on 24 September 2013.
