6 March 2013 — The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark has appointed Elsbeth Quispel as its new head of sustainability.
Ms Quispel will be responsible for developing and managing the content of the annual GRESB Survey, publication of the survey results to members and the annual report.
She will also be responsible for the strategic development of GRESB’s benchmarking services.
Ms Quispel joins GRESB from Jones Lang LaSalle, where she was head of sustainability and responsible for advising blue-chip investors, investment managers and tenants.
Most recently she launched the Greenlease Manual, an online tool that helps landlords, tenants and property managers develop green leases that facilitate the implementation of sustainability at building level, from both a tenant and management perspective.
Ms Quispel was also responsible for advising the Jones Lang LaSalle Board regarding sustainability strategy and worked alongside the global energy and sustainability services team as well as managing the Green Business Team and Green Desk, which focus on the implementation of sustainability in the real estate sector.
