2 July 2013 — Cate Turner has been appointed the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage’s senior manager state-wide programs, business and government.
Ms Turner brings 15 years’ experience leading business sustainability and environmental programs for government and the private sector across Australia.
Her latest position was with the CSIRO where she was the small to medium enterprise engagement manager.
She has a passion for innovation, and has most recently been leading a program for CSIRO, building partnerships between NSW businesses, government and researchers to develop and commercialise new, resource efficient technologies.
Other positions have included managing, over a four-year period, Strategic Policy and Legislation, Land Health Program and Sustainable Landscapes with the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment.
Prior to that Ms Turner was a senior consultant with RMCG and a senior strategist with Sinclair Knight Merz.
Other organisations she has worked with include the National Centre for Sustainability, Turner Consulting, Synapse Research & Consulting and Greening Australia.
