22 October 2010 – AMP’s Australian Core Property Portfolio and Sunsuper’s office building at Milton in Brisbane has been awarded a 5 Star Green Star Office As Built v2 Certified Rating.
The Coronation Drive Office Park Building, which has the has the first grey water treatment system plant in Brisbane, demonstrated AMP Capital’s continued commitment to sustainable projects, according to AMP’s Australian Core Property Portfolio Fund manager Louise Joslin.
“AMP Capital is committed to sustainable asset development which benefits investors and tenants, with CDOP4 being the first 5 star ‘As built’ rated building within the property portfolio,” Ms Joslin said.
The building has more than 17,108 square metres of PCA A-Grade office space over 12 floors.
Sunsuper Chief Investment Officer David Hartley said his company would now aim for a 5-star rating on the fit-out on the floors it occupies as well.
“Having a fully-tenanted building means our investment is not only reaping financial benefits, but members and our staff can feel good about being part of a project which is industry-leading in terms of its environmental rating and energy efficiency,” he said.
The “As built” rating provided an opportunity for the owners to secure a Sustainable Development Grant from Brisbane City Council, which would be used for future development sustainability initiatives in the office park, the owners said jointly.
