Ashak Nathwani
Dr. Ashak Nathwani AM arrived in Australia in 1972 as a political refugee from his birthplace Uganda. Today, he is internationally recognised for his over five decades of expertise in promoting energy-efficient buildings and sustainable engineering and facility management practices. Ashak is dedicated to reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions in the built environment, both in developing and developed countries. He focuses on innovative, cost-effective methods to achieve net-zero emissions in various types of buildings. Through his work, he strives to share knowledge widely, empowering everyone to enhance quality of life for current and future generations.
