Geopolitical tensions – how they’re messing up so much
Keynote at the Tomorrowland summit on 1 December (full report out soon) was a focus on the geopolitical tensions generated by Russia and China. Both countries have had big impacts on the construction supply chain in Australia and globally, the economy and our fight for the climate, which depends on global co-operation. In this session we heard from James Laurenceson, director of the Australian Chinese Relations Institute at UTS, and Geoff Winestock, editorial writer for The Sydney Morning Herald, who has also been Brussels correspondent for The Wall Street Journal and is a former editor of the Moscow Times.
