Regional Operations Group delivers integrated and customer focused services at the regional and local level to strengthen communities and partnerships across NSW. This includes services, programs and grants to support land use planning, threatened species, native vegetation, education, community engagement, energy efficiency, volunteering, environmental water management, coast and flood protection, compliance and enforcement, adapting to a changing climate and private land conservation.

Primary purpose of the role: Deliver and develop state-wide sustainability programs for relevant business, government, community and/or household sectors that are compliant with organisational and legislative requirements, are engaging and supported by the relevant sector, and are optimised to achieve sustainability outcomes.

Job Notes: This role is within the NSW Government’s leading business sustainability program, Sustainability Advantage. The program assists medium to large organisation to embed sustainability at the core of their business strategy. We are seeking strong client engagement and relationship management skills to drive best practice in sustainability, with a focus on innovation for long-term competitive advantage. You will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of the current challenges businesses face and a demonstrated ability of how to successfully implement sustainability activities within their operations.

 Recruitment Pool may be established for future temporary roles with similar focus capabilities. The Recruitment Pool may be available to hiring managers from OEH and other NSW Public Sector agencies over a 12 month period.
