Shanana McKenzie is leaving the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects to become chief executive of advocacy organisation Bioenergy Australia.

Ms McKenzie has been chief executive of AILA for the past three-and-a-half years, and said it had been โ€œan incredible rideโ€.

She will leave the position on 25 August to head up Bioenergy Australia.

โ€œBioenergy Australia is the lead advocacy organisation charged with promoting awareness of bioenergy to drive industry growth,โ€ she said.

โ€œBioenergy can play a much greater role in reducing Australiaโ€™s emissions and I am keen to be a part of that in the future.โ€
