TH Real Estate has hired ex-JLL sustainability guru Abigail Dean as its new head of sustainability, to be based in London.
Ms Dean will lead the sustainability strategy of the business, which was recently charged with managing a $1 billion real estate fund that would only invest in “future proof cities”.
A media statement said she would work to minimise the risk of accelerated depreciation and early obsolescence within the portfolio of real estate assets managed by the firm.
Ms Dean has over 10 years’ experience in the sector, and was previously head of sustainability for JLL’s property and asset management division in the UK.
She is also an active Better Buildings Partnership member, and has worked on the World Green Building Council’s Better Place for People campaign.
“Abigail brings a wealth of experience and is ideally suited to push forward the sustainable strategy of TH Real Estate, making certain it is embedded in every aspect of our business,” TH Real Estate head Mike Sales said.
