In brief: NSW state land and property development agency Landcom has joined the Supply Chain Sustainability School as a partner organisation.
A media release from the school said the collaborationwould help drive positive change for sustainability across the property and construction industry.
In partnership with the School, Landcom will work with staff, suppliers and communities to achieve change through better supply chains.
“When industry-leading organisations with enormous influence over extensive supply chains commit to driving change, others take note,” Supply Chain Sustainability School chief executive Robin Mellonsaid.
Landcom senior manager for sustainabilityLauren Kajewskiall new major works contracts would require contractors to be members of the School.
“And there will be an expectation they will undertake e-learning modules to advance knowledge and skills in environmental, social and economic sustainability issues that are important Landcom values,” Ms Kajewski said.
