IN BRIEF: A new draft manual to assist in the maintenance and performance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) systems has been released by the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Airconditioning and Heating (AIRAH), with the review period now extended to 28 September (updated).

The manual is designed to help building services engineers, maintenance engineers and plant engineers to set up and implement routine, preventative and predictive maintenance programs for HVAC&R plants and systems.

Predictive management elements have been beefed up in the latest draft, as well as material on maintenance budgeting, critically assessing HVAC&R assets for risk, and the digitisation of maintenance management, delivery and practice.
