The 202020 Vision, a campaign to get 20 per cent more green space in Australian cities by 2020, has released a list of 22 eminent people committed to greening cause.

There are many familiar faces in the list for The Fifth Estate readers, including the Greater Sydney Commission’s Rod Simpson, Greens Senator Scott Ludlam, CBRE’s Amanda Steele and our own managing editor Tina Perinotto.

“The 22 people included in the Black Book of Green People are ‘doers’,” the book notes. “They demonstrate leadership, innovation, resourcefulness and a genuine commitment to creating more and better green space across Australia’s urban areas.

“These individuals realise the health, productivity, cooling and environmental benefits of building lush green cities, and represent a small fraction of the plethora of groundbreaking green projects and initiatives currently happening throughout Australia.”
