Jan Mason has been appointed managing director of Defence Housing Australia.
Ms Mason had acted in the role for a year, but has now been officially appointed to the position for a further five years, DHA chair Sandy Macdonald said.
Ms Mason was previously deputy secretary of the Department of Finance for seven years.
Mr Macdonald said Ms Mason had accomplished a great deal and would continue to provide leadership and vision.
“She has worked hard to encourage communication, collaboration and teamwork throughout DHA. Most importantly, I know she is determined to continue DHA’s support of Defence members and their families,” he said.
“I know the board considers DHA fortunate to have such an outstanding person leading our organisation.”
DHA has been involved in a range of sustainable building projects.
