25 April 2013 — Gulf Organisation for Research and Development will hold the Green Buildings Expo 2014 at Doha Exhibition Centre from 28-30 January.
IFP Qatar will organise the event.
Yousef al-Horr, founding chairman of GORD, said the expo was “yet another initiative in our pursuit to position Qatar as the capital of green”.
“Opening an international dialogue on green building practices will influence business decisions pertaining to the planning, procurement and implementation phases of any project,” he said.
“Qatar has demonstrated a solid commitment to sustainability in line with its National Vision, which outlines a shift from a hydrocarbon-based economy to a knowledge-based model.”
