Simone Concha has left JLL to join the sustainability team at the Western Sydney Airport Corporation (WSA Co).
The global real estate services firm will not need to hire a replacement because the company has expanded some of its senior business roles as part of a sustainability leadership restructure.
A JLL spokesperson told The Fifth Estate that the new โbuilding a better tomorrowโ approach is based on four pillars โ โclients, people, workplaces and communitiesโ.
Leading the โclientโ pillar is Richard Fennell, JLLโs head of property and asset management (Australia) and head of client services โ property and asset management (Asia Pacific). Mr Fennell will โdrive the sustainability related response across JLLโs business linesโ.
Head of energy and sustainability (Asia Pacific) Matt Clifford will lead the โworkplacesโ pillar and focus on cutting the companyโs energy consumption and carbon emissions. He will also deliver consulting services associated with energy efficiency, Green Star, and health and wellness.
National director, external communications (Australia) Tracey Annear will take charge of the โcommunitiesโ pillar, and head of human resources (Australia) Louise Roche will head up the โpeopleโ pillar.
Chief operating officer Adrienne Revai will lead the new sustainability leadership approach in Australia.
โJLLโs team of 40 specialists across Australia in energy and sustainability services continues to grow as our clients increasingly look at ways to continue moving the needle on their sustainability goals,โ Mr Clifford told The Fifth Estate.
โAustralia is a world leader and continues to innovate, meaning we are constantly challenged to deliver outstanding results for our clients.โ
Ms Concha commenced her role two months ago as executive manager sustainability at WSA Co. The government-owned corporation was set up in August 2017 to construct and operate the new Western Sydney airport.
