World Green Building Council chief executive Jane Henley will step down in March 2015, sparking a worldwide search for a replacement.
Ms Henley, the former founding chief executive of the New Zealand Green Building Council, had been WorldGBC chief executive since February 2010.
WorldGBC chair Bruce Kerswill said Ms Henley had been instrumental in growing the green building council network into a global movement.
“Jane worked hard to establish the WorldGBC’s five regional networks in Asia Pacific, Africa, the Americas, Europe and MENA,” Mr Kerswill said. “She championed global events such as Green Building Week, and was a driving force behind the development of our two ground-breaking reports: The Business Case for Green Building and Health, Wellbeing & Productivity in Offices.
“She has been a passionate advocate of market transformation through business-led change, and has helped to build a strong foundation for a sustainable global property industry. We wish Jane well on the next stage of her career.”
