Benjamine Duncan has been appointed energy and sustainability manager for Scentre Group, which owns and manages Westfield’s property portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. Ms Duncan was most recently manager of climate change and sustainability services at Ernest and Young, where she was one of the co-authors of the firm’s publication Tomorrow’s Investment Rules.

Prior to EY, she was assistant manager of risk management for RSM Bird Cameron and has also been a consultant in responsible investment for in the UK for Asset4, Inspire Invest and CoreRatings. Ms Duncan holds a Masters of Business Economics from Amsterdam University, and a Masters of Environmental Management from University of New South Wales.

Scentre was formed through the merger of Westfield Retail Trust and Westfield Group’s Australian and New Zealand management business in June 2014. It has over $39 billion of real estate assets under management and ownership interests in retail centres valued at over $28 billion.

New projects underway include the redevelopment of centres in Chermside and Garden City in Brisbane, Miranda in central Sydney and Marion in Adelaide.
