Arup has appointed Tung Nguyen as Australasian process leader, charged with leading water and wastewater treatment facility development in the region.
Mr Nguyen has 23 years’ experience in the water sector, including roles on the Victorian and Perth desalination plants.
The team he joins has extensive experience working with Australian authorities on water strategies, including water sensitive design, policy and strategy.
Mr Nguyen was welcomed by Arup’s Australasia water leader Daniel Lambert.
“Tung is a recognised leader in water and waste water treatment,” Mr Lambert said. “His international expertise and understanding of trends that influence water demand will help us to provide an increasingly robust and multidisciplinary service to our clients.”
Mr Nguyen said Arup has a global reputation for developing innovative and sustainable water solutions.
“There is an opportunity, particularly in Australia, for us to use this experience to improve our existing infrastructure and help ensure the future supply of clean and reliable water long into the future,” he said.
