Tony De Domenico

Executive director of the Victorian chapter of the Urban Development Institute of Australia Tony De Domenico has stepped down from the position to take up the role of chairman of the Places Victoria Board.

Victorian planning minister Matthew Guy said Mr De Domenico’s appointment, along with the recently appointed independent members and two government members, will put the state’s development organisation in “a position to draw on its experience in urban renewal and?property development to maximise returns to government and create opportunities for the private sector in years to come”.

Mr De Domenico has held various roles across higher education, diplomacy and the public sector, including most recently serving as deputy chancellor of La Trobe University from 2009 and president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was also deputy chief minister of the ACT from 1995-1997.
