About the Role:
The Sustainability Programs Branch of OEH has recently received NSW Government funding over several years to deliver multiple new energy efficiency programs and maintain momentum on existing prorgams. We are an established Branch of around 120 committed people delivering great sustainability program outcomes for households, businesses and the community.
We are looking for several Senior Project Officers to help us design, establish and lead the delivery these exciting new programs. The right people will be great collaborators and enthusiastic about sustainability and striving towards a net zero carbon future. You will need to have knowledge and experience in sustainability or energy efficiency (working in private, public or community sector), along with excellent stakeholder management, communication and project management skills.
Primary purpose of the role
Lead the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of projects and programs across business, government, community and/or household sectors which are effective, innovative and meet priority objectives whilst demonstrating good value for public expenditure and achieving sustainability outcomes.

A Recruitment Pool may be established for further Senior Project Officer roles in the Sustainability Programs Branch, and for future roles with similar focus capabilities across OEH, DPE and other NSW Public Sector agencies over a 12-month period.
- Superior demonstrated knowledge of the operational and strategic requirements for successful delivery of sustainability programs in the context of contemporary government policies processes and procedures and community attitudes.
- Extensive experience in planning, implementing and evaluating environmental sustainability programs to achieve priority objectives.
- Proven ability in influencing stakeholders to take action on delivering sustainability outcomes.

Within the branch, we actively manage mobility between teams to help meet individuals’ aspirations and development needs, and meet business needs.
